Barley Hill Governor Profiles
Jaz Scott
Jaz works in finance, as Senior Director of International Tax. She is fairly new to school governance, having joined the board of Barley Hill Primary School in 2022, though Jaz has some previous board experience from serving as a pension scheme trustee for 8 years.
Jaz has lived in Oxfordshire for over 20 years, and has a son who attends Barley Hill; he loves school and his class teachers to date have all formed supportive positive relationships with him. Jaz enjoyed her own time at school and believes positive early experiences with plenty of encouragement, exposure to ideas, and excellent teaching will set children up for success. She decided to become a governor to have greater involvement in the school and hopefully use her financial and analytical skills to assist the school on its journey of continuous improvement.
Jaz ran the London Marathon in 2023, and also enjoys football and long walks with their two dogs.
Kayleigh Stanbury
Other roles: Link governor Personal Development and Behaviour and Attitudes
Kayleigh has been a parent governor since May 2022 when her eldest son was in reception. Kayleigh lives with her family in Thame and now has a son and daughter who both enjoy attending Barley Hill School.
During her primary and secondary education, Kayleigh attended many schools abroad as her father was a member of the armed forces. She hopes this experience will allow her to have a broad range of experiences to contribute to her role as governor.
Kayleigh works at the University of Oxford designing and carrying out clinical trials in mothers and babies who are cared for in the NHS. In both her work and governor roles, Kayleigh enjoys making a difference and getting the best outcomes for children and their families.
Amy Warner-May
I am a parent of two children – both of whom attend Barley Hill. I am an Associate Director at the Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford, where I lead on digital and new collections. Outside of work I enjoy visiting historic houses and going to church. This is my first Governor role – and I am really keen to contribute to the development of Barley Hill.
